Ms.Bowen is a licensed clinical social worker born, educated and in private practice in the New York metropolitan area. She has spent the majority of her clinical time in outpatient mental health clinics working with people of many different ethnic and socio-economic backgrounds.

Her inpatient work centered on substance abuse and she is also an affiliate counselor in employee-assistance. Prior to entering the field of psychotherapy, Ms. Bowen distinguished herself becoming one of the first women managers at a Fortune 500 company in Connecticut in the International Department.

Now having changed course in life, she brings to her therapy work additional sensitivity, sensibility and wisdom. She sees life and people from a holistic point of view and has the intelligence to be more of a guide and a resource than a detached authority figure.

A constant reader and researcher in her field, Ms. Bowen is currently working on a self-help book for men and their partners. Optimistic, realistic, responsive, often humorous, and creative Ms.Bowen is truly one of the rare individuals blessed with loving her work.
